Cambridge Loft Conversions

Wallace Build undertook a very extensive project for us between February and October 2017. We had bought a very dilapidated 1930s house and the project involved ground and first floor extensions, a loft conversion and a full refurbishment inside and out, including new plumbing and electrics throughout the house, a new roof, new windows and rendering the outside. Wallace were a pleasure to work with. Jak managed the construction phase, and Dan the remainder of the project, with Nick on hand throughout. All three – and all the subcontractors – were absolutely excellent. Problems were solved efficiently and quickly, and communication was almost always excellent. The whole job came in under the original budget as Nick and I were able to identify savings by reducing some aspects of the spec slightly, and only a couple of weeks beyond the original end date. We are delighted with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to use the firm again. I recommend them highly.

Everyone at Wallace was fantastic throughout this project. From initial plans, to final certifications they worked with us at every stage. Both the office and the site managers communicated with us regularly, adjusted the project only after discussions with us, and helped us to select fittings and finishing’s in the end when we had only general ideas of what to do. The end result is beautifully done, we have had many positive comments about how nice the house looks and we love our new attic room! All of the workers that came through were friendly and helpful as well. They managed to work around our time schedules with the kids and animals and the house was always cleaned up when we got home in the evening. I would happily recommend Wallace to anyone.
